How to choose the specialization area in an MBA course?

Master of Business Administration is generally a two year course if not an executive MBA. The first and second year is separated by the summer internship which is a part of curriculum. The main objective behind it is to provide the industrial exposure to the students. The first year is generic in nature where students get an idea about various management functions. The subjects taught are introductory in nature.

When they come to second year, the students have to choose from a variety of specializations.
