How to choose the specialization area in an MBA course?

The main objective behind it is to provide the industrial exposure to the students. The first year is generic in nature where students get an idea about various management functions. The subjects taught are introductory in nature.

When they come to second year, the students have to choose from a variety of specializations. ISBR include majorly 5 types of MBA institutes namely Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Development, Operation Management and Information Technology. Some of the other colleges have streams like International Business too.

ISBR Bangalore completely depends upon once ability and area of interest in particular domain. Students who are from Mechanical Background or have mechanical ability, who like to work with machines and tools should choose production and operations. For the people who love to observe, learn, investigate, analyze, evaluate and solve problems should go for marketing. These are the people with good interactive ability and communication skills.

People who have innovative, artistic and institutional abilities and love to work in unstructured environment must opt for strategy sector. These are the people with higher imagination and creativity. Similarly people who are good with number should opt for Finance. Students opting for HR should have the ability to work with people, to enlighten, inform, help, train and are skilled with words.

Whichever specialization one chooses, the MBA institutes can introduce you towards that domain of MBA programs but ultimately it’s your judgment to take decision regarding specialization.
